This ride was the largest Delhi weekend ride till
date. 2 having skipped out at the last moment, we ended up with 9 bikes and 10
riders.
Amazing arrangements by Ashwani /Avtaar to provide
us the cheapest ride I've done till date (Aman, listen up! ) . All together , we
spent about 215/- per head. (Excluding Fuel)
This included three absolutely delightful meals on
both days and stay in a huge Forest Rest House.
Must add here, that Avtaar's a deserving 60kph
member in the wings. His outdoor skills are amazing. Not to mention his
ownership of the mother of all cruisers, which when back with him in India will
cause quite a few heartburns all around :)
Amazing inhouse chicken, daal and rice cooked by
Avtaar, Rakesh, Manas and Ashwani.
Special credit to Ashwani for having arranged for
the Murga out of nowhere and Manas for having cooked the Daal with no spices.
The ride and all it's great moments will be captured
by Bora/ Rakesh in their prized writeup :)
Other highlights included :
* Amazing weather which held on till we reached
Mohan and only then did it start raining.
* Late night one-to-one talks with Bora. (Thanks 'n
sorry for having curtailed y'r longer ride plans, for the sake of the group)
* Two birthdays for both the nights . Bora's on 19th
and Manas' on 20th .
* Awesome Music provided by Bora.
* Amazing bath in the Kosi river by all the Men and
Pady. It was one of the more thrilling baths I've had in a while. Freezing
waters and amazing friends for company :)
* Manas the tee-totaller savoring the delights of
the poison on his 30th birthday in his undies sitting in ice-cold gushing
wasters of the Kosi.
* Pradeep's stupid antics in the river ;-)
* Great controlled group riding with no breakdowns .
